The AMX CE-IRS4 Universal Control Extender adds 4 IR/serial ports to AMX MUSE-controlled AV systems, enabling IR blaster output to displays, projectors, set-top boxes, and media players at the room edge — without running IR cables back to the controller chassis. It connects to the MUSE controller via IP over the room network, making it suitable for above-ceiling or furniture placement near the devices being controlled. As an expansion module for MUSE AV control systems, the CE-IRS4 is most commonly paired with the MU-1000 (which has no onboard ports) or the MU-1300 (which has 2 IR ports) to reach the IR port count required for a specific room AV device roster without stepping up to a larger MUSE controller.
