Product Overview
The AMX CE-COM2 is a Universal Control Extender providing 2 RS-232 serial ports for expanding serial device control capacity in AMX MUSE-controlled AV systems. It connects over IP to the MUSE controller and adds RS-232 control at the room edge for displays, projectors, DSPs, and other serially-controlled AV devices.
Product Description
The AMX CE-COM2 Universal Serial Control Extender adds 2 RS-232 serial ports to AMX MUSE systems via IP connection — enabling RS-232 control of displays, projectors, DSPs, and other serial-controlled AV equipment at the room edge without routing DB-9 serial cables back to the controller rack. It is most commonly paired with the MU-1000 (no onboard serial ports) to add serial control, or with the MU-1300 (2 ports) to double serial capacity without a controller upgrade. PoE-powered for single-cable installation at or near the controlled equipment.
