Description

The AT-SPLX40/E uses a 1310 nm laser over OS1/OS2 single-mode fiber to support Gigabit Ethernet point-to-point links at distances up to 40 km. This reach is approximately four times that of a standard 1000BASE-LX transceiver (10 km), making the AT-SPLX40/E well suited for campus-edge to data center links, inter-facility connections, and access-to-aggregation fiber runs where conduit infrastructure is shared between buildings or sites separated by several kilometers.

The extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) covers outdoor plant cabinets, industrial enclosures, and transportation infrastructure where ambient conditions vary significantly. TAA compliance satisfies federal procurement requirements under the Trade Agreements Act, qualifying this transceiver for GSA schedule purchases and government agency deployments. The LC duplex interface accepts standard single-mode fiber jumpers and pre-terminated trunk cables widely deployed in enterprise and campus fiber plants.
