The Allied Telesis AT-GS910/8E-10 is an 8-port Gigabit unmanaged switch from the GS910 CentreCOM series, powered by an external AC adapter. It delivers zero-configuration Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for desktops, home offices, and small business networks, with eco-friendly power-saving technology and built-in loop detection. The external PSU design results in a lighter and thinner chassis compared to internal-PSU models like the GS920/8.
Product Description
The GS910/8E is a plug-and-play Gigabit Ethernet switch that requires no configuration — simply connect devices and the switch begins forwarding traffic immediately. All 8 ports operate at 10/100/1000BASE-T, providing full Gigabit speeds to every connected device. Allied Telesis’ eco-friendly design reduces power consumption through a high-efficiency power supply and a low-power chipset, with an overnight low-power mode that cuts energy use during off-peak hours. Loop Detection using Loop Detection Frames (LDF) automatically identifies and disables ports involved in network loops, with automatic recovery once the loop is cleared. The external AC adapter (“E” in the model name) keeps the switch body compact and lightweight (1.59 lb). EAPOL/BPDU forwarding ensures compatibility with upstream 802.1X authentication and Spanning Tree infrastructure. Available in rack-mount, wall-mount, and desktop form factors, the GS910/8E is ideal for small offices, classrooms, and home network expansions where simplicity and reliability matter most.
