The Allen & Heath AH-QU-7D is the Dante-equipped version of the Qu-7, a 96kHz digital mixer with 32 mic preamps, 20 XLR line outputs, 32+1 motorised faders and a built-in 16x16 Dante interface. It mixes 38 inputs into 12 mixes, 4 matrices and main LR. The Qu-7D Dante mixer suits auditoriums, houses of worship and campus venues where a large-format Qu console must connect to a networked audio system.
How does the Allen & Heath AH-QU-7D work?
A dedicated locking EtherCON port carries 16x16 Dante channels at 48kHz or 96kHz that can be patched to any input or output. The console can take networked wireless receivers, feed a Dante DSP or amplifier, and distribute program audio to overflow rooms and recording systems. Allen & Heath offers a 32x32 Dante channel upgrade add-on for systems that need more network capacity.
The rest of the platform matches the Qu-7: 32 preamps, 32+1 faders on 4 layers, six RackExtra FX engines, a 32-channel Automatic Mic Mixer and a 7-inch touchscreen. The SLink port remains free for remote I/O, USB-C provides 32x32 multitrack audio, and the SD slot records up to 16 tracks at 96kHz.
