Allen & Heath dLive S7000 – Professional 36-Fader Digital Mixing Surface

The Allen & Heath dLive S7000 (AH-DLIVE-S7) is the flagship control surface in the dLive S Class lineup, designed for professional live sound touring, broadcast production, and large-scale fixed installation environments. With 36 motorized faders across 6 assignable layers — yielding 216 total fader strips — the S7000 gives front-of-house and monitor engineers unmatched control density for managing complex, high-channel-count shows. It connects to any dLive MixRack via a single CAT5e cable or in dual-redundant mode for mission-critical deployments.

Product Description

The S7000 surface centers on Allen & Heath's Harmony UI, which integrates dual 12-inch capacitive touchscreens with tactile wrap-around rotary controls. Engineers familiar with tablets will find the gesture-based interface — pinch, swipe, drag and drop — immediately intuitive, while the screen layout remains fully configurable with widget areas for scenes, meters, FX, and custom controls. Each screen hosts 3 pages of 6 assignable rotaries with RGB illumination mapped to function for fast visual orientation.

Twenty-six assignable SoftKeys provide rapid access to user-defined functions, and the surface includes dedicated Engineer's Wedge and IEM fader strips for monitor workflows. The S7000 features onboard analog I/O — 8 XLR mic/line inputs and 8 XLR line outputs — plus AES3 digital I/O, making it a self-contained front end for dLive MixRack systems. Two rear-panel I/O option slots support 128-channel audio networking cards including Dante, MADI, and GigaACE.

Built for the rigors of touring and broadcast, the S7000 ships with a dual redundant, hot-swappable power supply. The surface was engineered for daylight visibility, with metering and screen brightness designed for outdoor and high-ambient-light environments. USB stereo recording and playback is included onboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which dLive MixRacks are compatible with the S7000 surface?
The S7000 is compatible with all dLive S Class MixRacks (DM32, DM48, DM64) and the C Class MixRack systems. Connection is via CAT5e using GigaACE protocol, with optional dual-redundant failover link.
Can the S7000 be controlled remotely without the physical surface?
Yes. The associated dLive MixRack can be controlled simultaneously via laptop, iPad (using Allen & Heath's Mix apps), or third-party controllers over TCP/IP, even while the surface is connected.
What audio networking cards are supported in the I/O option slots?
The two rear-panel I/O option slots accept Allen & Heath option cards including Dante (M-DL-DANTE), MADI, gigaACE, and others, each supporting up to 128 channels at 96 kHz.
Is the S7000 suitable for permanent installation as well as touring?
Yes. The S7000 supports custom user permission layouts and lockable configurations, making it appropriate for fixed installations in auditoriums, houses of worship, and government facilities where operator access needs to be managed.
What is the warranty on Allen & Heath dLive products?
Allen & Heath products are covered by a manufacturer warranty. Contact your authorized dealer or Creation Networks for current warranty terms and professional support options.
Does the S7000 support Dante networking?
Dante is supported via the separately available Dante option card installed in one of the two rear I/O option slots. Each slot supports 128 channels at 96 kHz.
What cable is required between the S7000 and a MixRack?
A single CAT5e or CAT6 cable is required for standard operation. For dual-redundant failover mode, two CAT5e cables are used — one primary and one backup link.
