Allen & Heath dLive DM32 – 32-Input Digital MixRack for dLive Systems
The Allen & Heath dLive DM32 (AH-DLIVE-DM32) is the entry-level MixRack in the dLive S Class range, providing 32 mic/line inputs and 16 line outputs in a rack-mount chassis. It houses the same XCVI processing core as the DM48 and DM64, delivering identical processing capability at 96 kHz — the only distinction between the three MixRack models is the built-in analog I/O count. The DM32 connects to any dLive surface via CAT5e, or operates fully independently via laptop, iPad, or TCP/IP remote. It is suited to medium-scale touring systems, broadcast production, and fixed installations where 32 analog inputs are sufficient or where digital I/O networking cards will supply additional channels.
Product Description
The DM32 runs the XCVI Core — 36 parallel virtual processing cores at 96 kHz — delivering 128 full-processing input channels and 64 mix outputs. The 96-bit accumulator provides virtually infinite mix headroom, and latency from XLR input to XLR output is under 0.6 ms. Six parallel mixing engines calculate over 10,000 cross points per sample, and the FPGA router supports 3,000x3,000 audio paths, making this the same processing architecture used in the full-scale DM64.
DEEP processing integrates compressor emulations and graphic EQ algorithms directly on input and mix channels, avoiding FX slot consumption and the setup complexity of external plug-ins. RackExtra FX provides 16 dedicated effect processors with stereo returns. The DM32 includes a built-in signal generator and RTA for system alignment, and the new Active PAD circuit ensures consistent preamp performance across any source level.
Three rear-panel I/O option slots accept 128-channel networking cards at 96 kHz for Dante, MADI, or gigaACE. Two redundant DX expander links allow connection to DX32 or DX168 expanders for additional analog I/O. A dedicated ME-1 port provides an independent 48 kHz personal monitoring feed. The dual hot-swappable PSU uses the same module across all dLive MixRacks.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the DM32 compare to the DM48 and DM64?
- All three MixRacks use the same XCVI FPGA core and support identical 128-input, 64-output processing. The only difference is built-in analog I/O: DM32 provides 32 inputs and 16 outputs; DM48 provides 48 inputs and 24 outputs; DM64 provides 64 inputs and 32 outputs.
- Can the DM32 handle more than 32 inputs?
- Yes. DX32 or DX168 expanders connected via the two DX links add additional analog channels, and digital networking cards in the three I/O option slots expand input count further, up to 128 full-processing inputs total.
- Does the DM32 require a physical dLive surface?
- No. The DM32 can be controlled via Allen & Heath Director software, iPad Mix apps, or TCP/IP third-party controllers without any physical surface connected.
- What networking cards are compatible with the DM32?
- The three I/O option slots accept Dante, MADI, gigaACE, and other Allen & Heath option cards, each providing up to 128 channels at 96 kHz.
- Is the DM32 rack-mountable?
- Yes. The DM32 is a 19-inch rack-mount unit with reversible rack ears and a flush front panel with an ultra-quiet cooling fan.
- What warranty applies to the dLive DM32?
- Allen & Heath products are covered by a manufacturer warranty. Contact Creation Networks for current warranty terms and professional integration support.
