Allen & Heath Avantis with DPack – 64-Channel 96 kHz Digital Mixer Bundle
The Allen & Heath Avantis with DPack (AH-AVANTIS-W-DPACK) combines the 64-channel, 42-bus Avantis digital mixer with Allen & Heath's DEEP and DYN8 processing software bundle in a single, gig-ready package. Operating at 96 kHz with the XCVI FPGA core, the Avantis sits at the third tier of Allen & Heath's 96 kHz console lineup and is designed for live sound touring, house of worship, broadcast production, and multi-purpose installation environments where full-featured processing, extensive networking options, and an intuitive touchscreen interface are all required in a self-contained unit.
Product Description
The Avantis features dual 15.6-inch full HD capacitive touchscreens driven by Allen & Heath's Continuity UI, which connects physical fader and rotary controls to the touchscreen display for an integrated workflow. Twenty-four motorized channel faders across 6 layers provide 144 total fader strips with fully assignable channel mapping. Faders respond on touch to highlight active display channels, giving immediate visual feedback. A fast grab feature provides one-touch access to EQ, compressor, FX settings, and other channel parameters.
The Avantis-W-DPACK bundle includes the DEEP processing suite — a collection of compressor, limiter, and graphic EQ emulations plus a dual-stage valve preamp — and DYN8, which provides 8 bands of frequency-specific dynamic processing as both a 4-band dynamic EQ and a 4-band multiband compressor. These are built directly into the Avantis processing architecture with zero additional latency, requiring no external licenses or outboard gear.
Onboard analog I/O includes 12 XLR inputs and 12 XLR outputs, with 1 stereo AES digital input and 2 stereo AES outputs for immediate deployment. Two rear I/O port slots support 128x128 operation at 96 kHz, accepting Dante, MADI, and gigaACE option cards. An SLink port connects to Dante-capable Remote I/O Expanders and the ME Personal Mixing System. Automatic Mic Mixing (AMM) for up to 64 channels across 1, 2, or 4 zones is included, making the Avantis directly applicable to conference, training, and multi-purpose room installations.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is included in the DPack bundle?
- The DPack includes DEEP processing (compressor emulations, limiter, graphic EQ, and dual-stage valve preamp simulation) and DYN8 (8-band dynamic processing with 4-band dynamic EQ and 4-band multiband compressor). Both are pre-installed in the Avantis and require no external hardware or additional licensing.
- Is the Avantis compatible with dLive expanders and I/O boxes?
- Yes. The two I/O option slots accept Allen & Heath Dante, MADI, and gigaACE cards. The SLink port connects to DX, DT, and AB Remote I/O Expanders as well as the ME Personal Mixing System.
- Does the Avantis support Dante networking?
- Yes. A Dante option card can be installed in either of the two I/O option slots, providing up to 128x128 channels of Dante audio at 96 kHz.
- Is the Avantis suitable for conference room or multi-purpose room installation?
- Yes. Built-in Automatic Mic Mixing (AMM) for up to 64 channels across 4 zones, combined with configurable user permissions, makes the Avantis a viable choice for commercial AV installations in conference, training, and all-hands room environments.
- Can the Avantis be controlled remotely?
- Yes. The Avantis can be controlled via Allen & Heath's Avantis Director software on a laptop, Avantis Mix iPad app, or TCP/IP-capable third-party control systems.
