The AIDA Imaging CS4K-5.0F is a 12-megapixel, 4K-rated fixed focal length lens engineered specifically for use with AIDA 4K cameras equipped with 1/1.7″ and 1/2.5″ image sensors. At a 5mm focal length with an F2.0 maximum aperture, this lens delivers a wide horizontal field of view — 87° on a 1/1.7″ sensor and 69° on a 1/2.5″ sensor — making it well suited for capturing broad spatial coverage in a single frame. The fixed focal length design eliminates zoom creep and simplifies setup in permanent installations where the shooting position and framing do not change.
Product Description
Resolving a full 12 megapixels, the CS4K-5.0F is designed from the ground up for 4K image sensors rather than simply being an HD lens pushed into service at higher resolution. Optical corrections for chromatic aberration, distortion, and edge sharpness are calibrated for the demands of 4K capture, ensuring that the full sensor resolution is realized across the frame. The F2.0 aperture provides meaningful light-gathering performance in lower-light environments without requiring the camera to push gain to undesirable levels. Manual focus adjustment allows precise back-focus setting during installation.
The CS-mount thread format fits all AIDA 4K camera bodies that accept interchangeable CS-mount lenses. The 5mm focal length on a 4K sensor produces a natural, undistorted wide perspective that works particularly well for fixed room-camera installations — conference rooms, houses of worship, educational spaces, and broadcast studios where a predictable, repeatable wide shot is required.
