The AIDA Imaging CS-2812V is a 2.8mm–12mm varifocal CS-mount lens designed and calibrated for use with Full HD megapixel cameras. Its focal range makes it one of the most versatile short-range varifocal options in the AIDA lens lineup, covering ultra-wide fields of view at 2.8mm all the way to a moderate telephoto at 12mm. An adjustable manual iris gives operators hands-on control over depth of field and light transmission. Product Description

The 2.8mm end of the CS-2812V produces a wide horizontal field of view well suited for capturing full-room coverage from a corner or ceiling mount position — particularly useful when installation space is constrained and a wide perspective is needed without repositioning the camera. Stepping up toward 12mm narrows the field to bring subjects in from across a medium-sized room with meaningful compression and subject isolation. The lens is optically tuned for Full HD sensors, delivering consistent sharpness and color accuracy throughout the zoom range.

Both focus and iris are adjusted through dedicated manual rings on the lens barrel. Once set, these rings can be locked to maintain the chosen parameters through vibration or accidental contact. For installations where the final shooting distance is not precisely known until after mount positioning, the varifocal design of the CS-2812V saves considerable time and cost compared to purchasing multiple fixed focal length lenses.
