The XD614 collapses all four displays into a single cable by exploiting DisplayPort 1.2 MST: the transmitter takes the MST stream from the host and the receiver breaks it out to up to four monitors at resolutions up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz with 8 bits per color and 4:4:4 chroma sampling — full-fidelity text and graphics with no chroma compromise.

The link itself is a low-latency point-to-point protocol over a single CATx or fiber cable that works as soon as it is connected — no network setup, drivers, or software. Copper installs reach up to 100m (328ft) over CAT6; fiber installs reach up to 4km (2.5 miles) using SFP modules (sold separately), letting the equipment room sit in another building entirely.
