Product Overview

The Adder X100A/R-US is an AdderLink X100 PS/2 KVM remote user station with audio, extending a keyboard, mouse, VGA display and stereo speakers up to 100m (330ft) from the host computer over a single CATx cable. As a PS/2 KVM extender receiver with audio, it serves operator positions where legacy PS/2 consoles must remain in service while the computer sits in a rack or secure room. It is also a practical KVM over CAT5 receiver for extending the console of Adder CATx KVM installations with high-quality video and digital stereo audio.

Product Description

Plenty of industrial, laboratory and infrastructure systems still rely on PS/2 keyboards and mice, and the X100A/R-US keeps those consoles working at distance. The receiver presents MiniDIN-6 keyboard and mouse ports, an HDD15 VGA output and a 3.5mm audio jack at the user position, linked back to the computer end over standard Category 5, 5e, 6 or 7 twisted pair cable.

Video performance is a strength of the X100 family: 1600 x 1200 is achievable at the full 100m distance and 1900 x 1440 up to 50m (165ft). Receiver-side signal compensation provides smooth, fine adjustment to counter cable losses, and built-in brightness correction keeps the displayed image crisp and bright at long runs. The audio path carries digital stereo sound for speakers at the desk.

Full DDC emulation ensures that high-performance graphics cards negotiate high resolutions correctly through the extension, and the platform is operating-system independent across Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS and other environments. The all-metal receiver case is compact at 123 x 74 x 26mm and powers from the included universal-input supply with US lead.
