Product Overview

The Adder IPEPSMINI-DP is a standalone DisplayPort KVM-over-IP unit that provides secure remote access to a single computer over a corporate network or the internet. Using RealVNC client software purpose-built for KVM over IP applications, this compact remote server management device delivers DisplayPort video up to 1920x1200 with true USB keyboard and mouse emulation. IT teams that need BIOS-level remote KVM access to DisplayPort workstations get hardware-grade control that operates independently of the host operating system.

Product Description

The ADDERLink ipeps mini DP attaches to the full-size DisplayPort 1.1 (dual mode) output and two USB 2.0 ports of the computer to be managed, then publishes that machine on a 1GbE network for authorized remote users. Because control happens at the hardware level, administrators keep full access during boot-up, BIOS configuration, and crash states — situations where software remote-desktop tools fail. Up to eight remote users can connect simultaneously, governed by up to 16 user profiles with defined access rights.

Adder IPEPSMINI-DP ADDERLink ipeps mini DisplayPort KVM over IP unit

Every session is protected by AES 128 or 256-bit encryption with RSA 2048-bit public key authentication, making the unit appropriate for regulated government, finance, and healthcare networks. The 55 x 25 x 110 mm ABS and aluminium enclosure can be powered directly from two USB ports on the host computer or from an optional external 5VDC supply, so it installs cleanly behind rack equipment, inside credenzas, or at unmanned sites. Intelligent EDID management allows installers to lock in the exact video modes the controlled device should generate.

The ipeps mini DP can also serve as a remote gateway into ADDERLink INFINITY, DDX, and XDIP matrix systems plus the ADDERView 4 PRO switch, giving remote users reach into every computer behind those platforms. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the IPEPSMINI-DP work with computers that have crashed or are powered into BIOS?
Yes. As a hardware KVM-over-IP unit it operates independently of the host, so remote users retain control during boot-up, BIOS access, and crash states.

What client software do remote users need?
Remote users connect with RealVNC client software designed for secure, high performance KVM over IP, with all traffic protected by AES 128/256-bit encryption.

Can the unit be powered from the host computer?
Yes. It can draw its 5W requirement from two USB 2.0 ports on the host, or use an optional external 5VDC 1A power supply.

Will it integrate with an existing Adder matrix?
Yes. The ipeps mini can act as a remote gateway into ADDERLink INFINITY, DDX, and XDIP matrix systems as well as the ADDERView 4 PRO switch.

What operating systems are supported?
Because control happens at the hardware level, the unit is compatible with all known operating systems with no drivers required on the target machine.

What warranty applies?
Adder provides a 2-year manufacturer warranty, and Creation Networks supports specification and integration questions before and after purchase.
