The Adder DVA is a high-performance VGA to DVI-D video converter that transforms analog computer output into a digital signal at resolutions up to 1920x1200 at 60Hz. Product Description

Plenty of industrial controllers, legacy servers, and specialist machines still output only VGA, while modern extension and matrix platforms expect digital video. The Adder DVA closes that gap: it accepts VGA from the computer, converts it to a DVI-D equivalent, and passes it downstream to a display or a digital KVM transmitter.

EDID management is handled in the converter, ensuring the correct display settings are presented to the computer's graphics card — a critical detail in VGA-to-digital conversion that generic adapters often get wrong. The unit auto-calibrates horizontal and vertical position, and a supplied Virtual Control Panel (VCP) app allows manual adjustment of brightness, tone, sharpness, and video alignment, complete with a built-in test pattern. Power comes from a spare USB port on the computer, drawing under 300mA in operation, and a USB passthrough port remains available for a low-powered peripheral so no port is lost.
