Product Overview
The Adder CCS-PRO8-US is an 8-port command and control switch that lets one operator control up to eight computers with a single keyboard and mouse, simply by moving the cursor from screen to screen. Built around Adder Free-Flow switching technology, this multi-computer KM switch creates the experience of one continuous desktop across eight independent displays — no hotkeys, menus, or software required on the target computers. For control room operator desks and multi-system workstations, the CCS-PRO8 reduces desk clutter, switching time, and operator workload.
Product Description
Operators in command and control environments routinely manage many computers at once, each with its own display. The CCS-PRO8 consolidates their input devices: connect each computer with a USB cable and 3.5mm audio lead, attach one keyboard and mouse at the console, and Free-Flow handles the rest. As the mouse pointer crosses a screen border, keyboard, mouse, and audio focus follow instantly, so the operator works across systems as naturally as across windows.

USB True Emulation supports any USB human interface device — from keyboards and mice to graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks, and 3D explorers — and independent USB device selection lets the operator type on one computer while other USB peripherals stay connected to different machines. Seven switching methods are available: Free-Flow, keyboard hotkeys, remote control, an open API for third-party integration, mouse buttons, the front-panel button, and serial control. A copy-and-paste function moves up to 200KB of formatted text between directly connected Windows computers, with an encrypted-data setting available (a driver is installed on each participating computer).

Amalgamated audio mixes sound from selected sources so alarm events are never missed, and dual power inlets provide redundancy for mission-critical desks (one power adapter is included). The optional CCS-XB screen illumination module adds LED indicators that show at a glance which screen currently has control. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the CCS-PRO8 switch video?
No. It is a KM (keyboard, mouse, and audio) command and control switch — each computer keeps its own dedicated display while the CCS-PRO8 moves input focus between them. This is what allows the multi-screen Free-Flow workflow.
Does Free-Flow require software on my computers?
No software is needed on the target computers for switching; Free-Flow works by reporting absolute mouse coordinates. The Windows-based configuration utility is used once to define the screen layout, and the optional copy-and-paste feature requires a driver on participating Windows computers.
How do operators know which screen is active?
The optional CCS-XB screen illumination module provides up to ten LED indicators that light to show which display currently has keyboard and mouse control.
Can it be integrated with a control system?
Yes. The open API plus RS232 serial control allow setup and switching from third-party automation, AV control, and command-center systems.
What peripherals are supported?
USB True Emulation supports any USB HID device, including standard keyboards and mice, graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks, and 3D explorers.
Is redundant power supported?
Yes. The unit has dual power inlets for mission-critical installations; one 12V DC adapter is included and a second can be added.
