The Adder CATx USB Computer Access Module (CAM) provides instant, secure BIOS-level connection for any USB/VGA computer to Adder CATx KVM switches and extenders using a single CAT5e/6/7 cable up to 300 m. Completely self-powered from the host computer (no external PSU required), it eliminates cable clutter while delivering crystal-clear video, transparent USB 2.0, and optional CD-quality stereo audio with zero configuration.
Manufactured from tough ABS plastic with integrated RJ45 socket, the compact inline design attaches directly to the computer using short included cables and can be Velcro-mounted or rack-tray secured. Advanced DDC emulation and DC balancing ensure perfect video quality at all resolutions up to 1920×1200 @60 Hz, while Adder “Keep Alive” technology prevents USB re-enumeration delays during channel switching, and full flash-upgrade capability future-proofs the module.
Ideal for data centres, broadcast, post-production, control rooms and any multi-server environment using AdderView CATx 1000/4000/5000, AVX series, or ADDERLink X-Series extenders. Available in two variants: CATX-USB (VGA + USB) and CATX-USBA (VGA + USB + Audio).
