The Adder CATX-PS2 is a computer access module (CAM) that connects machines with VGA and PS/2 ports to Adder CATx KVM switches and extenders over a single CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT7 cable. This PS/2 VGA computer access module sits inline at the target computer, requires no additional power to operate, and presents an RJ45 socket for the CATx run back to the switch or extender. Product Description

Computer access modules are the connection point between each target machine and an Adder CATx system: a small device that gathers the required output ports of a computer onto one standard CATx cable. The CATX-PS2 variant handles machines with VGA video and PS/2 keyboard/mouse interfaces, which keeps legacy and industrial systems fully manageable from a modern Adder switch or extender.

The main body is constructed from a tough ABS material that houses the RJ45 connector, with connections made from the module into the rear of the target computer or server. Because the unit is self-powered through its connections, there is no power adapter to provision per server — a meaningful simplification in dense racks. Like all Adder CAMs, the CATX-PS2 uses Adder Keep Alive technology to ensure keyboard and mouse inputs to the computer remain active even when that channel is not selected, so there are no connection delays or problems when the port is switched to.
