Product Overview
The Adder AVS-2214 is an ADDERView Secure 4-port dual-head DVI KVM switch that lets one operator work across four computers spanning multiple security classification levels with a single keyboard, mouse, two DVI displays, and audio. As a NIAP PP 4.0 certified secure KVM switch, it enforces hardware isolation between channels while delivering 1920x1200@60Hz on each of two screens. Agencies and contractors that need a TAA compliant dual-head secure KVM for DVI-based desktops get certified separation without sacrificing day-to-day usability.
Product Description
Multi-network secure desktops demand absolute assurance that no data path exists between systems of different classifications. The AVS-2214 builds that assurance into hardware: the keyboard and mouse processor powers down and resets at every channel switchover to prevent shared-RAM leakage, all data buffers are actively cleared after use, and uni-directional optical data diodes force audio to flow only from computer to speaker — blocking eavesdropping and line-in re-tasking attacks.

Each of the four computer channels connects two DVI-D video feeds (eight inputs total) plus a USB 2.0 connection with HID emulation, and the console drives two DVI-D displays at up to 1920x1200 with 8-bit color. Console USB ports accept only human interface devices; storage drives and other non-HID peripherals are actively prohibited. Operators switch via configurable front-panel LED buttons or the free-flow automatic mode that follows the mouse between screens, and the built-in e-paper display shows real-time channel status. Audio hold keeps sound assigned to one computer while the operator works on another — valuable when monitoring alerts across networks.

Holographic anti-tamper labels reveal any attempt to open the enclosure, supporting audit requirements, and the fanless metal chassis runs silently at the desk. The switch is NIAP Protection Profile 4.0 certified and TAA compliant, with optional accessories including the AS-4CR Secure Card Reader and AS-4RCU Remote Control Unit. Frequently Asked Questions
How many computers and monitors does the AVS-2214 support?
Four computers, each connected with two DVI-D video feeds, sharing one console of two DVI-D displays plus keyboard, mouse, and speakers.
What certifications does it carry?
The switch is NIAP Protection Profile 4.0 certified and TAA compliant, with CE, cTUVus, FCC, and UKCA approvals. Confirm specific accreditation requirements with your security authority.
How is channel isolation enforced?
In hardware: the keyboard/mouse processor resets at each switchover, data buffers are cleared after use, audio passes through uni-directional optical data diodes, and console USB ports reject non-HID devices.
Can the operator switch without pressing buttons?
Yes. A configurable automatic switching mode moves KVM and audio focus as the mouse travels between screens; the front-panel buttons remain available.
Is CAC or smart card authentication available?
Yes, via the optional AS-4CR Secure Card Reader accessory; the AS-4RCU Remote Control Unit is also compatible with ADDERView Secure 4-port switches.
