Product Overview
The Adder AV4PRO-DVI-TRIPLE-US (AdderView 4 PRO DVI MultiScreen, Triple-Head) is a 4-port USB 2.0 triple-head DVI KVMA switch that lets one operator control four computers — each with three video outputs — from a single three-monitor console. Video, USB peripherals, and audio switch together, so a trading desk, edit suite, or operations workstation can move between four triple-display systems instantly. As a triple-head DVI KVM switch with True Emulation USB and dual-link DVI support up to 2560x1600, the AV4PRO-DVI-TRIPLE keeps high-resolution multiscreen workflows on one keyboard and mouse.
Product Description
Multiscreen computers multiply the cabling problem of a conventional KVM: every channel change must swap three video paths plus USB and audio in lockstep. The AV4PRO-DVI-TRIPLE handles all of it, switching the full triple-head video set together with the keyboard, mouse, USB peripherals, and audio channel between four connected computers.

Video runs through DVI-I connectors supporting dual-link DVI resolutions up to 2560x1600 (4 megapixels) at 60Hz — enough for detailed imaging, 2K film work, and dense data displays. The DVI-I interface accepts a mixture of digital sources, including HDMI and DisplayPort, and analog sources including VGA using passive adapters, which simplifies connecting mixed computer fleets. Adder's True Emulation technology continuously emulates USB HID devices to every computer simultaneously, so hotkey and mouse-based channel changes are instantaneous and reliable — no re-enumeration delays. Two independently switchable USB 2.0 channels also allow peripherals such as storage or printers to stay attached to one computer while keyboard and mouse control another.

Channel selection is flexible: front panel buttons, keyboard hotkeys, three-button mouse, an on-screen display, or ASCII codes over RS232 for control system integration. Extended DDC EDID profiles keep each computer's graphics card optimized for the attached displays. The switch is housed in a 2.5U metal case (26 x 15 x 10 cm) with an external 5V DC power adapter, operates from 0 to 40 C, and carries CE and FCC approvals. It is part of the AdderView 4 PRO DVI family alongside single, dual, and quad-head variants — see the full Adder Technology collection at Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I connect computers with HDMI or DisplayPort outputs?
Yes. The DVI-I ports accept digital sources including HDMI and DisplayPort, and analog sources including VGA, using passive video adapters — useful for mixed fleets.
Why does True Emulation matter for switching speed?
Because each computer continuously sees an emulated keyboard and mouse, channel changes do not trigger USB re-enumeration; hotkey and mouse switching is immediate and reliable.
Can a USB peripheral stay on one computer while I control another?
Yes. The two USB 2.0 channels switch independently of the KVM channel, so storage or other peripherals can remain attached to a different computer.
How can an AV control system switch channels?
Simple ASCII codes over the RS232 options port allow third-party control system integration, alongside front panel, hotkey, mouse, and OSD selection.
Does each computer need three video cables?
Yes. Each triple-head computer connects three DVI video links plus USB (and audio if used) to the switch; the console connects three monitors.
What if my computers are dual-head or quad-head?
