Product Overview
The Adder ALPR110T-DP is the ADDERLink Portal R110 DisplayPort transmitter, an ARDx-enabled ZeroU KVM-over-IP device that provides secure, low-latency keyboard, video, mouse, and audio access to a host PC over a local network or the internet. Designed for image-critical applications, this hardware remote KVM transmitter streams HD 1920x1080 video at 60Hz with 4:4:4 color accuracy and 16-bit stereo audio. Because it operates out-of-band, it delivers BIOS-level remote PC control that remote access software cannot provide.
Product Description
The ADDERLink Portal R110 (DisplayPort) connects to the full-size DisplayPort 1.2 output and a USB 2.0 port of the target computer, then makes that machine available to remote operators through the ARDx Viewer application. ARDx provides a consistent user experience along with administration tools for managing connections and users. Inherently low latency gives operators precision control as though they were seated at the host PC, and on a network with suitable capacity up to eight users can access the system concurrently without performance degradation.

Because the Portal R110 is a hardware transmitter operating out-of-band, remote users gain BIOS control of the target PC during boot and remain securely separated from the local network — valuable where the operating system is legacy or configuration changes are prohibited. Enterprise-grade security with AES-256 encryption and RSA-2048 authentication is standard, the level of protection trusted by security agencies and financial institutions.

The ZeroU dongle form factor requires no rack space, and USB power from the host PC eliminates the need for a power supply or spare outlet, though an external 5VDC supply can be used. The Portal R110 is optimized for LAN use, with WAN connectivity available through a firewall port or VPN for remote internet access. Key Features
- Hardware Remote KVM — DisplayPort video and USB 2.0 HID control operate out-of-band for BIOS-level access while keeping remote users separated from the local network.
- HD 60Hz Video with 4:4:4 Color — Streams 1920x1080 at 60Hz with accurate 4:4:4 chroma and dynamic frame-rate back-off under limited bandwidth.
- ARDx Enabled — Works with the ARDx Viewer application, providing connection management and administration tools for users and sessions.
- Up to Eight Concurrent Users — On a suitably provisioned network, eight operators can access the host without performance degradation.
- Enterprise-Grade Security — AES-256 encryption and RSA-2048 authentication protect every connection as standard.
- 16-bit Stereo Audio — Two-channel 16-bit 44.1kHz PCM digital audio output accompanies the video stream.
- ZeroU Form Factor — The compact dongle requires no rack space and draws power from two host USB ports, with an external 5VDC option.
- OS-Independent Control — Controls any PC with a KVM connection regardless of operating system, ideal for legacy or locked-down installations.
Typical Applications
- Government space — out-of-band remote control of secured DisplayPort workstations with AES-256 protection.
- Broadcast studio — low-latency remote operation of edit, playout, and graphics PCs in image-critical workflows.
- Commercial meeting space — remote administration of installed room PCs without pulling equipment from racks.
- Training room — shared, multi-user access to demonstration and lab machines.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the ALPR110T-DP a transmitter or a receiver?
It is a transmitter. The "T" in the SKU denotes the ZeroU transmitter that attaches to the host PC's DisplayPort and USB outputs; remote users connect via the ARDx Viewer application.
What software do remote users need?
The Portal R110 is ARDx enabled and requires the ARDx Viewer, which also provides administration tools for managing connections and users.
Can it control a PC at BIOS level?
Yes. Because it operates out-of-band as a hardware KVM device, it enables BIOS control of the target PC during boot, regardless of operating system.
How is the unit powered?
It can draw power from two USB ports on the host PC (2x 500mA at 5V), so no wall outlet is needed; an external 5VDC 1A supply is optional.
Is it suitable for use over the internet?
The unit is optimized for LAN use; WAN access for remote internet connectivity is achieved through a firewall port or VPN.
How many people can connect at once?
Up to eight users can access concurrently on a network with suitable capacity, without performance degradation.
