Product Description

The AV200 series was designed so playback computers could live in a controlled equipment room while displays sit hundreds of feet away. Per Adder's AV200 series documentation, the system supports 1920 x 1080 at distances up to 100 metres (325 feet) and 1280 x 1024 at distances up to 300 metres (1000 feet) over CATx cable.

Audio is transmitted as digital signals for high fidelity and low noise, with phase-locked sampling clocks ensuring there are no unwanted clicks when no sound is playing. The transparent RS232 channel is the operational differentiator: display power, video, and audio can be controlled, and panel status interrogated, from the transmitter end. The unit ships with Adder DM (Display Manager) software for exactly that purpose. The transmitter pairs with AV200-series receivers such as the ALAV200R or the deskew-equipped ALAV201R (sold separately).
