An AIM server is licensed for 24 endpoints out of the box, with AIMLIC licenses expanding capacity through tiers of 48, 96, 192, 288, and unlimited. The UPG license family moves an existing installation between those tiers: AIMLIC-UPG-96-192 applies to a primary AIM server currently licensed for 96 endpoints and raises the ceiling to 192. UPG licenses cover the primary server only; backup AIM servers are licensed separately through -BCK products.
