Product Overview
The Sonance VX 4-Inch Round Retrofit Enclosure is built for installing a 4-inch VX in-ceiling speaker into an existing finished ceiling, sold as a pair. It is intended for integrators adding Visual Experience speakers to a room after drywall and paint are already complete, without the pre-construction bracket work a new build would use.
Product Description
Retrofit projects call for a different approach than new construction, since the ceiling is already finished and the goal is to add a Sonance speaker with minimal disruption. This enclosure is engineered for the 4-inch round Visual Experience speaker line and supports the balanced coverage and low distortion performance the VX series is known for. It ships with the standard Micro Trim grille, with the option to upgrade to a Trimless grille for a more discreet finished look. Note that this enclosure is built for the current Visual Experience platform and is not compatible with legacy Visual Performance speakers, so integrators should confirm the correct speaker generation before ordering. For rooms being upgraded room by room, this enclosure lets crews add in-ceiling speakers without opening up the entire ceiling cavity.
