The Sonance IS-ENCL-S-Narrow is a deeper, narrower version of the small sound isolating enclosure for the IS6 Invisible Series speaker, built specifically to fit 16-inch on-center TJI joist construction. It is an alternative to the standard IS-ENCL-S for jobs where TJI floor or ceiling joists limit the available cavity width.
Product Description
This narrow enclosure supports the IS6 from the Invisible Series lineup sold through Sonance and uses a deeper and narrower profile than the standard IS-ENCL-S enclosure so it can be installed within 16-inch on-center TJI joist construction, which is common in modern residential framing. Like the standard enclosure, it is intended to optimize sound isolation for the IS6 by containing sound transfer into an adjacent room, attic, or shared cavity, while keeping the finished, grille-free appearance of the speaker unchanged. Integrators framing a ceiling with engineered TJI joists rather than dimensional lumber should specify this narrow version instead of the standard IS-ENCL-S to ensure proper fit. It can be combined with a pre-construction bracket during rough-in for a complete, acoustically isolated IS6 installation.
