The Sonance IS-S-PB.500 is a paintable pre-construction bracket sized for 0.5-inch wallboard, used to secure the installation space for small Invisible Series enclosures such as the IS6 before drywall goes up. It lets framers and drywall crews protect the speaker opening from other trades until the final speaker is installed.
Product Description
This bracket is part of the pre-construction bracket (IS-PB) system that supports Invisible Series enclosures sold through Sonance, and it is sized specifically for 0.5-inch wallboard. Installed during framing, it secures the exact opening needed for a small Invisible Series enclosure, such as the one used with the IS6, protecting that space from drywall, insulation, and other trades working in the same cavity before the AV team returns to finish the install. The bracket ships with screws and shims and is reusable, so it can be removed and reused on additional openings across a job if needed. It is not compatible with IS 70V transformer models or built-in subwoofer enclosures, so integrators should confirm they are specifying the correct bracket for the enclosure size and wallboard thickness on their plans. Pair this bracket with the matching Invisible Series enclosure for a complete pre-construction rough-in.
