Product Overview
The Sonance AS Medium Grille (Square) is the visible perforated steel trim used to finish a medium Architectural Series bandpass subwoofer installation. It is the companion part to the AS Medium gypsum or solid surface mounting platform and completes a totally flush, trimless subwoofer install.
Product Description
Once the AS Medium mounting platform and BPS8 bandpass subwoofer module are installed, this perforated steel grille is what finishes the opening and gives the room its clean, flush appearance. The square version matches the corresponding square mounting platform and router template used earlier in the project, so ordering the correct shape is important for a properly finished install. Like other Sonance Architectural Series bandpass trim pieces, this grille is designed to sit totally flush and trimless, minimizing any visual indication that a subwoofer is present in the wall or ceiling. Integrators building a flush subwoofer installation should order this grille as a required companion part, not as an optional accessory, since the mounting platform alone does not include a finished trim surface. Because it is the exposed, touchable surface of the installation, the grille carries a shorter warranty term than the mounting platform hidden behind it.
