What Confero does

Confero is where the meeting is actually managed. The clerk controls who speaks and in what order, puts motions and records results, attaches documents to agenda items, and produces the record afterwards. The microphones are the visible part; this is the part that determines whether the system fits how the chamber actually works.

Configure it to the procedure, not the other way round

Every chamber has its own standing orders — how motions are put, whether abstentions count, who may interrupt, how points of order are handled. Confero is configured to match, and that configuration is a conversation with the clerk rather than an AV task.

Get it wrong and the system gets worked around rather than used, which is the most common way a well-specified chamber ends up with staff running the meeting on paper alongside it.

Hybrid and remote

Confero supports remote participants alongside those in the room, including remote voting and virtual interpretation where licensed. Confirm the network and platform requirements early, since remote participation changes both.
