Frequently Asked Questions — Rigging & Mounting Hardware
Straight answers on truss clamps, rig bars, safety cables and brackets for stage lighting and LED fixtures.
Which truss clamp do I need?
Match the clamp to the truss or pipe outside diameter, usually around 50 mm (2 in) for standard truss, and to the fixture weight. Half-couplers suit fixtures that hang close to the truss; G-clamps suit quick, lighter hangs.
What are rig bars used for?
Rig bars join several LED panels or fixtures into a straight or curved array and give a single hang or ground-stack point. Use the bars designed for your fixture series.
Do I need safety cables?
Yes. Every overhead fixture should have a secondary safety cable rated for its weight, in addition to the primary clamp.
Who should install overhead rigging?
Overhead rigging should be planned within the load limits of the truss and structure and installed by qualified technicians, following the manufacturer's ratings and local code.
Which brands do you carry?
Chauvet Professional rigging, clamps, rig bars and brackets, matched to its lighting and LED fixtures.
Can Creation Networks install stage lighting and rigging?
Yes. We design and install lighting, LED and rigging for theaters, worship spaces and event venues. Call (888) 230-3661 or email sales@creationnetworks.net.
