LG LED controllers are the processing layer between your sources and an LG direct-view LED wall. They take HDMI or DisplayPort content, scale it to the wall's native resolution and distribute it to the cabinets, and the right controller depends on which LG LED series you are driving and the canvas size it needs.

How to choose an LG LED controller

Start with the LED series. LG pairs specific controllers with specific cabinet families, so the controller's compatibility list decides the short list before resolution does. For 4K canvases up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, LG's webOS system controllers such as the LG CVEA combine scaling with built-in signage playback. For 8K walls up to 7680 x 4320, the LG CEAA and CEAC are built without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for secure sites. LG also supplies NovaStar-based processors under LG part numbers, such as the LG TKPLE-N110 (NovaStar VX1000 Pro), for general-purpose LED processing.

What constrains an LG LED install

Pixel capacity per output and the number of outputs set how many controllers a wall needs; count the wall's total pixels before quoting. Genlock matters wherever cameras see the wall, so studio and broadcast walls should use a controller with genlock support such as the CBBA. Secure facilities and government rooms often require the no-wireless models. Plan the rack location, cable runs to the cabinets and redundancy before the cabinets ship.
