The Williams AV WIR RX22-4N is a four-channel selectable infrared bodypack receiver compatible with transmitters operating on the 2.3, 2.8, 3.3, and 3.8 MHz bands, including the Williams AV IR T1 and IR T2. Dual infrared detectors maximize sensitivity and operating range — up to 30,000 square feet in single-channel mode with a WIR TX925 or WIR TX90 infrared system — making it a flexible receiver for assistive listening and language interpretation in commercial venues. The included lanyard supports hands-free wear, and the 3.5mm output accepts mono or stereo headphones, earphones, or a neckloop.

The RX22-4N is built for fleet deployment in theaters, courtrooms, classrooms, and houses of worship. The rotary channel selector lets listeners move between up to four program channels — useful for multi-language interpretation feeds — while the combined on/off/volume knob keeps day-to-day operation simple for patrons. Dual IR detector lenses behind the face of the impact-resistant plastic case maintain signal pickup as the wearer moves and turns within the coverage area.

Power management favors low operating cost: two AA alkaline batteries deliver approximately 60 hours of listening, or NiMH rechargeables run 30 hours per charge. Charging contacts in the case allow the batteries to recharge without removal when the receiver is docked in the CHG 3512 drop-in charger (sold separately), which restores a full charge in 16 hours. Two RCS 004 lanyards are included, and Williams AV backs the receiver with a five-year warranty (90 days on accessories). Headphones, earphones, and neckloops are sold separately.

For hearing aid users, the WIR RX22-4N with NKL 001 neckloop bundle adds T-coil coupling, and matching transmitters are available in the Williams AV collection.
