The Symetrix 80-0089 xControl is an I/O control interface for Symetrix AV systems, providing 8 flexible analog control inputs and 16 logic outputs for GPIO (general purpose input/output) expansion of Symetrix DSP installations. It connects to the Symetrix DSP over Ethernet, accepts PoE power (IEEE 802.3af), and is configured in Symetrix Composer. The xControl enables integration between Symetrix DSPs and external control systems, occupancy sensors, contact closure devices, LEDs, relays, and physical hardware controls that are not served by the ARC or W-Series wall panel families.

Each of the eight flexible analog control inputs on the xControl can be individually configured for either one potentiometer or two switch inputs — providing up to 8 pot controls or up to 16 switch inputs depending on configuration. The 16 logic outputs can drive LEDs, trigger external relays, or activate contact closure ports on third-party control systems or AV devices. This makes the xControl suited for lighting integration, external relay triggering, occupancy-based DSP automation, and integration with building management or room scheduling systems. It connects to the Symetrix DSP over 10/100 Base-T Ethernet and is fully configured in Symetrix Composer within the overall DSP site file. Compatible with EDGE, Radius NX, Prism, and Server D100.
