The Sound Control Technologies RC-RK2 is a single-RU rack shelf that mounts up to two SCT camera extension head-end modules and their power supplies in one rack unit. It integrates with two-camera SCT extension systems (RC4, RC5, RCU2S, RC2E) or a single-camera extender paired with an RC-SDA distribution amplifier. For conference room racks, it keeps the camera extension head end compact, secured, and serviceable.
Product Description
The RC-RK2 is the compact member of SCT's purpose-built rack shelf family. Its 9-inch shelf depth supports two SCT power supplies behind the modules while preserving access to the rear of each module for clean and easy cabling. The shelf occupies a single rack unit in a standard 19-inch AV or IT rack, making it a practical fit for credenza racks and shallow wall-mount enclosures common in commercial meeting spaces.
Typical configurations include two head-end modules for a two-camera room, or one extender (RC4, RC5, RC5+, RCU2S) plus an RC-SDA for codec-side distribution. Rooms terminating more camera runs can step up to the four-module RC-RK4 in the same family.
