The Sound Control Technologies RM-X57 is a RemoteMic extension kit that extends the Poly Expansion Microphone from a Poly Studio, Studio X52, Studio X50, or Studio X70 video bar to the conference room table up to 100 meters over a single CAT5 cable. Poly video bars mount at the display, but their expansion microphone cable cannot reach the table in mid-size and large rooms; the RM-X57 closes that gap so participants get accurate voice pickup where they actually sit. Product Description

The native Poly Expansion Microphone cable limits placement to a short radius around the video bar, which compromises audio pickup in conference rooms deeper than a huddle space. The RM-X57 solves this with a TX module at the video bar and an RX module at the table, linked by one CAT5 cable that can be routed through walls, ceilings, or floor boxes up to 100 meters. The Poly Expansion Microphone plugs into the table-side module using the included RJ12 microphone cable and operates exactly as if it were connected directly to the video bar, preserving Poly audio processing and mute behavior. The kit ships complete with the RM-X57 RX and TX modules, the RCC-M010-1.0M RJ12-to-RJ12 microphone cable, and the WPS-12 universal power supply. For integrators, this means a Poly Studio X50 or X70 room can be designed with proper table microphone coverage without nonstandard cable splices or unsupported extenders.
