SMART Board GX series displays (V3 and older) ship with an embedded Android OS that is not Google EDLA certified, limiting their compatibility with Google admin-managed app deployments and Google Workspace for Education toolsets. The AMG1 resolves this by adding a separate, purpose-built Android 13.0 Google EDLA-certified compute module to the display's OPS slot. Once installed, the display gains the Google Play Store, Google Play Protect certification, and support for standard Google and Microsoft enterprise app management. The octa-core CPU with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage (expandable to 576 GB via microSD) provides performance headroom for modern application workloads.
