At the heart of this system is the Shure MXWAPT8 Access Point Transceiver, an 8-channel wireless access point compatible with Microflex® Wireless microphone systems. Operating in the license-free 1.9 GHz (DECT) band, it utilizes automated frequency coordination to assign clean frequencies to wireless microphones and manages two-way wireless transmission of encrypted audio and control signals. The MXWAPT8 supports Dante digital networked audio, transporting low-latency digital audio received from wireless microphones over Cat5e cable to any other Dante-equipped device. Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies installation by supplying both power and data over a single Ethernet cable.

Complementing the MXWAPT8 is the Shure P300-IMX Audio Conferencing Processor, which features IntelliMix® DSP algorithms optimized for audio/video conferencing applications. The P300-IMX includes 10 Dante inputs, 2 analog inputs, and 8 channels of microphone processing with acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), noise reduction, automatic gain control, and IntelliMix automatic mixing. It offers flexible connectivity options, including USB, analog audio, and 3.5 mm TRRS jack, allowing seamless integration with room systems, laptops, and mobile devices. The compact form factor enables discreet mounting under a table or behind a display, making it ideal for boardrooms and meeting spaces.
