The Shure MX202WP-A is a Microflex overhead condenser microphone with a plate-mounted preamplifier in a White finish, designed for permanent ceiling installation in conference rooms, houses of worship, performing arts centers, and commercial AV installations where a white plate-mount ceiling appearance is required. The plate-mount configuration integrates cleanly with white ceiling tile systems, routing the cable through the mounting surface for a finished installation. Available with cardioid (MX202WP-A/C), supercardioid (MX202WP-A/S), lobar mini-shotgun (MX202WP-A/MS), or no cartridge (MX202WP-A/N) for integrator-specified polar pattern coverage.
Product Description
The MX202WP-A uses Shure's Microflex electret condenser transducer with a frequency response of 50 Hz to 17,000 Hz for speech intelligibility and vocal capture in installed sound environments. The white plate-mount preamp provides a clean ceiling footprint with the cable concealed through the mounting surface — appropriate for architecturally sensitive installations in executive conference rooms, worship facilities, and performing arts venues where visible cable runs are unacceptable. The interchangeable cartridge system supports cardioid, supercardioid, omnidirectional, and lobar mini-shotgun (MS) polar patterns, enabling the integrator to optimize coverage for the specific room without replacing the installed hardware. The adjustable gooseneck allows precise directional aiming of the capsule at the primary audio source.
