The Shure CVO-B/C is an overhead cardioid condenser microphone built for installed sound applications where the mic must stay out of sight. Product Description
Designed as a hanging overhead microphone for sound reinforcement, the CVO-B/C suspends discreetly above a choir, ensemble, or stage to capture a defined source area without crowding the visual sightlines of the room. The electret condenser cartridge delivers a 70–16,000 Hz response suited to vocal and acoustic program material, while CommShield technology guards against RF interference from nearby wireless devices and mobile phones. The included snap-fit windscreen reduces breath and air-handling noise, and the wire aiming hanger lets an integrator angle the capsule precisely toward the source during installation. As shown in the product image, the matte black finish keeps the microphone visually unobtrusive against dark ceilings, truss, and acoustic treatment. The attached 25 ft cable terminates for connection to a mixer or DSP input, making this a straightforward overhead condenser microphone for permanent commercial deployment.
