Product Description
The BETA 87A is a precision-engineered electret condenser vocal microphone that delivers an exceptionally smooth response with a gradual presence rise tuned for vocals. The controlled low-frequency roll-off compensates for proximity effect, preventing boomy sound during close-up use. As a phantom-powered vocal mic, it operates on 11 to 52 V DC and performs best at 48 V DC. An advanced cartridge shock mount system absorbs mechanical shock and minimizes handling noise, while the built-in pop filter reduces wind and breath noise. The aluminum body with hardened steel grille withstands the rigors of daily touring, and very low susceptibility to RF and electromagnetic hum keeps the signal clean.
