Product Overview
The Salamander SA/RM/PDU is a 1U rack mounted power distribution unit for Salamander AV cabinets and display stands. It centralises power for the equipment inside a cabinet or on a cart into a single managed unit, replacing the power strip that otherwise ends up loose in the bottom of the enclosure.
Product Description
Every rack build needs power distribution, and in the absence of a proper PDU that role gets filled by a consumer power strip sitting on the cabinet floor. That works until someone needs to trace a circuit, until the strip gets dragged by a cable during service, or until an inspector looks at the installation.
A rack-mounted PDU fixes the distribution in place, keeps the cabling organised, and occupies one rack unit that would otherwise be wasted space. On mobile carts it matters more, since a loose power strip on a cart that moves is a genuine failure point. It mounts in the vertical rack brackets used across the Salamander range.
