Product Overview
The Salamander SA/RMLB is a set of three factory-installed lacing bars that mount to a Salamander cabinet's extrusion frame. Lacing bars give cable bundles fixed tie-off points behind the equipment, which is what keeps a loaded cabinet serviceable over its life.
Product Description
Cable weight is the hidden load in an AV cabinet. A bundle of HDMI, category, and power cables hanging unsupported pulls on the connectors it terminates at, and over months that tension is a common cause of intermittent connections. Lacing bars take the weight instead, so the connector only carries the cable's last few inches.
They also make the cabinet maintainable. Cables tied to a bar can be traced and individually replaced without disturbing the bundle, which matters when equipment is swapped years after installation by someone who did not build the room.
