Mounting it to a post that is part of the furniture fixes the height and aim permanently and removes the cable run that a wall or ceiling position would require.

The 24 in post suits positions where the camera or speaker should sit just above the display or credenza surface — typical of small and mid-size rooms. A longer 36 in post is available as FI/TB2/12 for rooms needing greater elevation. The bracket is factory-installed, so mounting points are machined and reinforced before shipment rather than field-drilled.
