Salamander Factory Installed Bottom Vent with Active Cooling - FI/BVAC
When passive cooling isn't enough
Does your gear generate a lot of heat inside your wall-mounted Salamander Designs Chameleon cabinet? This active cooling vent can help. It replaces the standard bottom vent in your cabinet, and it includes four thermostat-controlled fans. A heat sensor you attach to your hottest-running component controls the fans.
The sensor activates the variable-speed fans at about 80°, and they achieve maximum spin when the temperature reaches 95°. Even at peak speed, the fans remain whisper-quiet while pushing 33 cubic feet of cooling air up into your cabinet.
Note: Requires 2-1/2" under-cabinet clearance. Recommended for wall-mounted units; use with floor-standing cabinets requires custom feet to provide ample clearance.
