Product Overview
The Salamander SA/RM2U is a set of two factory-installed rack mount brackets providing 2U of rack space inside a Salamander AV cabinet. It converts cabinet interior space into a standard 19 in rack position sized for two-rack-unit equipment.
Product Description
Two rack units covers a large share of small-room AV hardware: mid-size video conferencing codecs, audio DSPs, rack-mount power conditioners, and vented shelves carrying non-rack appliances. Mounting those devices properly stops them shifting inside the cabinet and keeps their connector fields aligned for tidy cable dressing.
The brackets are factory-installed, so the cabinet's extrusion frame is drilled and reinforced during manufacture rather than modified on site. Sets are available in 1U through 4U, and multiple sets can be specified in a single cabinet when several rack devices are required.
