The Salamander SA/XR30/AC is a 30 in extended rear panel with integrated active cooling, finished in black. It combines the added depth clearance of the standard extended panel with powered exhaust, addressing both the space and the heat problems of a densely loaded AV cabinet in one component.

Product Description

Deeper equipment and hotter equipment usually arrive together. A cabinet loaded with a codec, a matrix switcher, a DSP, and power conditioning needs clearance behind the chassis for connectors and cable bends, and it needs a way to move the heat those devices generate out of the enclosure. Specifying an extended panel without cooling solves half the problem and leaves the other half to accumulate.

This panel adds 30 in of rear depth so connector boots and minimum cable bend radii are respected, and its active cooling drives heated air out of the cabinet rather than letting it stall at the top. Pairing it with a bottom vent such as SA/BVAC completes the airflow path with a defined cool-air intake at the base.
