Codecs, compact speakers, wireless presentation receivers, and control appliances frequently ship as a box that installers end up placing loose inside a credenza or taping under a table. A tech shelf gives those devices a defined position with airflow around them and a cable path that runs through the furniture.

The 12 x 8 in platform suits mid-size appliances, and the 24 in post places it just above the furniture surface.
