What is the RDL TX-PCR1?
The RDL TX-PCR1 is a paging controlled relay that switches speaker loads and other equipment when audio appears on a constant-voltage speaker line. RDL notes it is ideal for muting local speakers during an area page in commercial paging systems.
How does it work?
The amplified source connects through a transformer-isolated detachable terminal block, with a front-panel switch selecting 25 V, 70 V or 100 V; the 25 V setting also accepts 8 Ω sources up to 75 W. A sensitivity trimmer and red threshold LED set the trigger level, and a delay trimmer holds the module triggered for 3 to 25 seconds after audio stops, shown by a green LED. When triggered, 8 A DPDT relay contacts can connect local speakers to the paging line and return them to the local amplifier after the page. An open-collector SLAVE terminal can control additional TX-PCR1 modules or other equipment. RDL lists TX mounting accessories such as the TX-RA5 19-inch racking system and MB-1 mounting kit for this module.
What are the key features?

- 8 A DPDT relay contacts — Contacts rated 8 A at 250 Vac or 30 Vdc switch speaker loads.
- Adjustable sensitivity — A trimmer and threshold LED set the trigger level from -40 dB to -15 dB.
- Adjustable release delay — The module stays triggered for 3 to 25 seconds after the audio stops.
- SLAVE control terminal — An open-collector SLAVE terminal links additional relays or equipment.
