RDL TX-MX2R – Two-Input Audio Mixer and Distribution Amplifier
What is the RDL TX-MX2R?
The RDL TX-MX2R is an active mixer that combines two unbalanced line-level sources, or a stereo source to mono, and feeds two isolated unbalanced outputs. It also works as a one-in, two-out audio distribution amplifier in AV racks and media systems.
How does it work?
The high-impedance -10 dBV inputs are isolated from each other, so the module can bridge a stereo source without affecting stereo separation. Gain trimmers are normally set to unity and can raise either channel by up to 6 dB, and an active summing amplifier drives two identical 100 Ω outputs. RDL rates THD+N below 0.05% and frequency response of 25 Hz to 45 kHz (±0.5 dB). It runs from 12 to 33 Vdc with the RDL PS-24AX recommended (PS-24AS in the USA), and mounts with the RDL TX-RA5 or RDL MB-1.
