RDL TX-AVX – Automatic 2x1 BNC Video Switch
What is the RDL TX-AVX?
The RDL TX-AVX is an automatic 2x1 video switch that changes to an alternate source when the primary video signal is lost. It detects valid NTSC or PAL sync and switches with a high-quality RF relay.
How does it work?
When valid video is present at the INPUT jack, it is connected to the OUTPUT; when it is absent, the AUX INPUT is connected instead. If power is interrupted, the AUX INPUT also connects to the output. Detection ignores 50 Hz and 60 Hz hum, responds to signals as weak as 0.5 V p-p, and a SLAVE terminal switches to ground on valid input. The unit runs from 12 to 33 Vdc or 12 to 24 Vac, and RDL recommends supplies such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply. TX modules can be rack mounted with the RDL TX-RA5 racking system or the TX-HRA3 rack mount.
