What is the RDL TX-8I?
The RDL TX-8I is a headphone isolation transformer that galvanically isolates headphones from the source equipment. It drives headphones of 8 Ω or greater and includes an overload LED to help installers set operating levels.
How does it work?
The TX-8I places an isolation transformer between the source amplifier and the headphones, giving galvanic isolation in the compact RDL TX module format. An overload LED flashes when the operating level is exceeded, helping installers set levels correctly. Bandwidth is 100 Hz to 15 kHz with THD+N below 0.1% at 1 kHz and 50 mW, and the module is hi-pot tested at 1.5 kVAC. It mounts with RDL TX-series hardware such as the RDL TX-RA5 rack adapter, the RDL TX-RRB1 rear rail kit or the RDL DRA-35T DIN rail adapter.
