What is the RDL STM-2X?
The RDL STM-2X is a switched microphone preamplifier with adjustable gain of 35 to 65 dB at its line output. It suits installations where a toggle or push-to-talk switch controls the microphone, particularly with condenser mics.
How does it work?
The preamplifier quietly soft-switches the microphone source using a remote toggle switch or push-to-talk button. It provides both a +4 dBu balanced line output and a -45 dBu balanced mic-level output, so it can feed either type of input. Filtered 24 Vdc IEC phantom is available for condenser microphones. It runs from a 24 Vdc supply such as the RDL PS-24AX 24 Vdc power supply, and STICK-ON modules mount in the RDL STR-19B racking system or on a rear rack rail with the RDL ST-RRB1 rear rack rail kit.
